Ready to finally learn how to drive a stick shift? It can seem intimidating, but in this video, I’ll show you the easiest way to learn how to use the clutch without even touching the gas.
The key to mastering a manual is understanding the friction zone. In my 1996 Honda Acty, I’ll show you how to slowly release the clutch on a level surface until the car moves forward on its own. This simple technique takes all the stress out of learning and teaches you the core skill of driving a manual. I’ll also share why the brake pedal is the most important of the three—because it’s the only one that will safely stop the car if you get into trouble.
